NG,NG-dimethyl-L-Arginine (ADMA) is an endogenous NOS inhibitor. ADMA concentrations increase in several disease states including renal failure, muscular dystrophy, hypercholesterolemia, and pregnancy with preeclampsia, but its precise role in these diseases has not been elucidated.
