What is Pluronic F68 used for?

Pluronic F68, also known as Poloxamer 188, is a non-ionic surfactant used in various scientific, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. Pluronic F68 protects cells in cell culture by reducing shear stress in bioreactors, preventing damage caused by agitation and aeration. Is poloxamer 188 the same as Pluronic F68?
