The RZ2.5 is part of the VACUUBRAND® XS series of rotary vane vacuum pumps. These pumps have been designed from the ground up for best performance in laboratory applications. The RZ2.5 is an excellent choice for small freeze dryers, small centrifugal concentrators or other low-temperature evaporations of high boiling point solvents, molecular distillations, and other applications where diaphragm pumps cannot provide sufficient vacuum.

The XS series of pumps features many nitrogen-plasma treated parts in the flowpath to increase corrosion resistance. Integrated gas ballast helps ensure exceptional water vapor tolerance with minimal impact on ultimate vacuum. Wearing forces have also been reduced for longer service intervals.
