Vials are suitable basically to inject samples from an autosampler. They are varied in sizes, though 2 mL vials are more commonly used. Autosampler needle pierces through the cap during injection and withdraws the required aliquots of sample from the vials.
Application: Clear glass, screw top vials with hole-cap PTFE/silicone septa may be used, to contain plant tissue in an experimental study done in order to identify major volatiles emanating from chestnut reproductive plant tissue.
