The soluon is a sensive stain that is able to detect as lile as 5ng protein. Protein bands are visible in as lile as 3 minutes, with maximal staining achieved aer an hour. 200 ng BSA is detectable in 5-10 minutes and the low levels of BSA (5-8ng) become clearly visible aer 1 hour when washed in water. 500 ml soluon is sufficient for 20-25 minigels.
