3-O-b-D-glucuronide (3-OG) is a polyphenol metabolite detected in biological fluids. It has shown to be more potent than resveratrol against the growth of human adenocarcinoma Caco-2. Oral resveratrol administration results in high levels of 3-OG and 3-sulfate metabolites in the colorectum of colon cancer patients.
