Ready-to-use LB Lennox Agar Plates are for non-selective cultivation of recombinant E. coli, commonly used for molecular genetic studies. The LB Lennox formulation has half the sodium chloride of the LB Miller formulation and is often used to cultivate E. coli in the presences of salt-sensitive anitbiotics (e.g., blasticidin, puromycin, and zeocin).
Standard fill volume for 100 mm plates is 25 mL. We also offer a smaller (20 mL) and larger (35 mL) fill volumes, depending on the needs of your target organism or automation.
Contains 1.0% (10 g/L) tryptone, 0.5% (5 g/L) yeast extract, 0.5% (5 g/L) sodium chloride, and 1.5% agar.
