Density: ~0.25 g/mL (free fall density)
Application: high boiling compounds
General description: Tenax porous polymer materials, based on 2,6-diphenyl-p-phenylene oxide, is widely used as an adsorbent in both air collection and purge trap applications. Its unique structure provides alternate and desirable adsorption/desorption characteristics compared to other porous polymers.

Other Notes: The optimal temperature for Tenax porous polymer materials depends on the application. For example, thermal desorption unit (TDU) tubes are typically desorbed at 300 °C, and purge traps containing Tenax typically use a 180 °C desorption temperature.
