For greater economy, the new package size allows 200 test to be performed. In addition, there are four separate bottles of blue latex so that multiple work stations may be equipped. The StaphTEX™ Blue kit tests for both the Clumping Factor and Protein A found in S. aureus. Clumping Factor is detected in both the free and bound form. The easy procedure involves placing several colonies within the raised circle on the card provided. A drop of the blue latex solution is added and mixed with the provided four inch flat-end mixing sticks. Positives begin to clump immediately. The entire procedure takes less than one minute. Liquid controls are included.
