Shallow, thin-walled aluminum cap for reinforcing XRF pellets. Commonly used in the production of pressed power sample disks for XRF but also used for OES and other analytical techniques. Forms the bottom and sides of the finished pellet.

Edge-Flaring Tool
- Tool for flaring the edge of Spec-Caps® to create a tighter fit in the pellet die. To use, simply press the tapered end of the Edge-Flaring Tool into the compatible Spec-Cap®.
