Appearance
Light yellow to light brown,Homogeneous Free flowing, hygroscopic powder having characteristic sharp odor, but not putrescent.

Solubility
Freely soluble in distilled or deionized water or alcohol. Insoluble in ether.

Color and Clarity
The solution is medium amber coloured, clear to very slightly opalescent.

Reaction
Reaction of 2% w/v aqueous solution at 25°C.

Storage and Shelf Life
Store below 30°C. Use before expiry date on the label.

Cultural response	Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35 - 37°C for 18 - 24 hours by preparing MacConkey Agar (M082) using Sodium Taurocholate as an ingredient.
