Biochem Physiol Actions: SN50 is an NF-kappaB cell permeable inhibitory peptide. The SN50 sequence contains the nuclear localization sequence (NLS residues 360-369) of the transcription factor NFkappaB p50 linked to a peptide cell-permeabilization sequence, the hydrophobic region (h-region) of the signal peptide of Kaposi fibroblast growth factor (K-FGF). SN50 Peptide inhibits translocation of the NF-kappaB active complex into the nucleus.
