General description: N-cadherin is a calcium dependent cell adhesion molecule and is present mainly in cancer cells. It regulates the Src kinase pathway and also promotes cell motility and invasion . Monoclonal anti-N-cadherin antibody can be used in immunofluorescent microscopy, electron microscopy and immunoblotting to study the receptor localization of intercellular adherens. It may also be used to study the mechanism of adhesion and interaction in tissues. Monoclonal anti-N-cadherin antibody reacts specifically with A-CAM molecule in human, mouse, rabbit, chicken and rat.
