Application: Use of this antibody for immunoblot analysis will allow for detection of a 220 kDa band (native conditions) or a 143 kDa band (denaturing conditions).Use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry of muscle tissue will demonstrate double rows of discrete punctate staining representing pairs of triads on the opposing sides of the Z-lines are observed.
Immunogen: Rabbit dihydropyridine (DHP) receptors, (alpha2 subunit)
Physical form: Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide.
Specificity: Reacts specifically with the alpha2 subunit of the DHP receptor. Strong reactivity is observed with the alpha2 subunit in rat, mouse, guinea pig, rabbit skeletal and cardiac muscle, and rat brain and lung tissue. Weaker reactivity is observed with rat kidney, liver and spleen tissues. By immunohistochemistry, double rows of discrete punctate staining represent pairs of triads on the opposing sides of the Z-lines.
Other Notes: This mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody is supplied as a mouse ascites diluted in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative.
