General description: The antibody binds to the avidin molecule without interfering with the biotin-binding reaction. The product reacts specifically with egg white avidin, ExtrAvidin and their complexes formed with biotin. The antibody shows no cross-reaction with streptavidin.
Immunogen: Purified egg white avidin.
Physical form: Solution supplied in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 8.0, containing 1% BSA and 15 mM sodium azide.
Specificity: FITC conjugated monoclonal anti-avidin may be used for single or double immunofluorescence labeling techniques and for modification of non-fluorescent to fluorescent reactions.
