General description: Pyk2 (proline-rich kinase 2) is a protein belongs to Tyr protein kinase family and expresses mainly in tissues and cells like mesenchymal, epithelial, endothelial cells, neonatal cardiomyocytes, osteoclasts and neuronal cells. It has a crucial role in T and B cell antigen receptor signaling, cell cycle progression, metastasis, NK cytotoxicity, modulation of ion channel function and neuronal short- and long- term responses. Anti-Pyk2 antibody can be used to identify Pyk2 by immunohistochemistry. Rabbit anti-Pyk2 antibody reacts specifically with Pyk2 of rat, mouse and human.
Application: Anti-Pyk2 antibody can be used in immunoprecipitation (110-116 kD) and western blotting (diluted 1:2000) using of LPS-stimulated P388 mouse monocyte-macrophage cell extract. It can also be used in microarray.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 991-1009 of human Pyk2, coupled to KLH. This sequence is highly conserved in rat and mouse (1 amino acid substitution).
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% bovine serum albumin and 15 mM sodium azide
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
