General description: PKC is a phospholipid-dependent enzyme that belongs to serine/ threonine (Ser/Thr)-specific protein kinases family. It has a pivotal role in cell growth and differentiation, modulation of neurotransmission, signal transduction and oncogenesis. PKC δ is an isoenzyme is expressed mainly in the brain, heart, lung, liver, spleen, thymus, pancreas, ovary, skin, adrenal gland and rat embryonic fibroblasts. Anti-protein kinase c δ antibody can be used for studying the differential tissue expression and intracellular localization of PKC δ. It can also be used in western blotting and microarray. Rabbit anti-protein kinase c δ antibody reacts specifically with PKC δ peptide conjugated to BSA with 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylamino-propyl)- carbodiimide (EDCI). The product is also specific for PKC δ polypeptide (80kD) from rat brain extract.
Application: Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.Western Blotting (1 paper)
Application: Anti- protein kinase c delta antibody can be used to identify PKC deltaï€ isozyme by using different immunochemical assays like- immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, immunoblotting and ELISA. It can also be used in chemiluminescence detection systems to detect PKC delta. Further, the product can also be used in dot-blot immunoassay.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal variable (V5) region (amino acids 662-673) of rat PKC delta coupled to KLH with glutaraldehyde.
