Biochem/physiol Actions: Type I interferons (IFNα, IFNβ and IFNω) are pleotropic cytokines that mediate their cellular activities by binding to specific Type I IFN receptors. The functions of IFNα/ IFNα Receptor Type I axis include antiproliferative, antiviral and immunomodulatory activities.
