General description: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a glycoprotein antibody that regulates immune responses such as phagocytosis and is also involved in the development of autoimmune diseases . Mouse IgGs have four distinct isotypes, namely, IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. IgG1 regulates complement fixation in mice . Anti-Mouse IgG (Fab specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody detects mouse IgG (whole molecule). When tested by ELISA, the product reacts with the Fab fragment of mouse IgG but does not recognize the Fc fragment of mouse IgG, human IgG, IgA, IgM or rat IgG.
Application: Anti-Mouse IgG (Fab specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody is suitable for use in western blot at 1:1000 dilution using human airway epithelial cells or using whole-cell extracts of rat tubal tissues . The antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry (1:10 using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections).
Application: Goat anti-mouse Fab specific alkaline phosphatase antibody was used to analyze serum Ig titers by His Sorb ELISA at 1:10000 at room temperature for two hours. Antibodies were diluted in PBS plus 0.2% BSA to reduce background.
Application: Alkaline phosphatase-conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (Fab specific) was used as the secondary antibody in ELISA assays to measure the reacitivity of mABs to thyrogobulin peptides. Absorbance was measured at 405 nm.
