Application: Anti-Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor-2, Cytoplasmic antibody produced in rabbit was used for immunohistochemistry of free-floating rat brain tissue sections.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) and their receptors, FGFRs, are important regulators of cell proliferation, migration, tissue repair and differentiation during vertebrate development. FGFR-2 isoforms are expressed exclusively on cells of epithelial origin and are involved in tumor progression in thyroid cancers. Abnormalities in FGFR-2 expressions have been observed in skin, bone and cancer pathologies.
Immunogen: synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 809-821 of the cytoplasmic region of human FGFR-2 (bek).
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% bovine serum albumin and 15 mM sodium azide.
