General description: Death-associated protein kinase (DAPK) belongs to the serine/threonine kinase family that regulates apoptosis, growth factor signaling and also may be involved in modulating immune responses. DAPK1 mediates cellular functions such as membrane blebbing and autophagy and inhibits the activity of prolyl isomerase. Anti-DAPK1 antibody is specific for human DAPK1 (approx. 160 kDa). In immunoblotting, detection of the DAPK1 band is specifically inhibited with the immunizing peptide.
Application: Anti-DAP Kinase 1 antibody is suitable for use in immunoprecipitation (2.5-5.0 mug using extracts of human HeLa cells) and western blot (1-2 mug/mL using whole extracts of human HeLa cells).
Immunogen: synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 2-13 of human DAP-kinase 1, conjugated to KLH via a C-terminal cysteine residue. The corresponding sequence is identical in rat and mouse.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
