An inhibitor of stearoyl-CoA desaturase that selectively eliminates hPSCs (EC50 = 2 µM) while sparing progenitor and differentiated cells; developed as a strategy to prevent tumorigenic risk from residual undifferentiated cells used during stem cell therapy.
