Method: Deionized water (18.2 megohms-cm ± 1) was treated with 0.01% DEPC and incubated at 37°C for 12 hours. DEPC treated water was autoclaved for 2 hours at 15 psi (121°C) on liquid cycle to inactivate DEPC.
