Biochem/physiol Actions: Kruppel like factor 2 (KLF2) is crucial for lung functioning, cell differentiation, migration and tissue development. It modulates endothelial pro-inflammatory activation. The protein has roles in cardiovascular development and T-cell differentiation. Mutation in the gene encoding it has been associated with heritable pulmonary arterial hypertension.
