Application: Monoclonal anti-ß-tubulin isotype III antibody (diluted 1:500) can be used as a primary antibody in immunocytochemical analysis of neurons. It can also be used for the localization of isotype III of ß-tubulin by several immunochemical assays like dot blot, ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
Biochem Physiol Actions: Tubulin ß 3 class III (TUBB3) regulates neurogenesis and is involved in axon guidance and maintenance. Mutations in this gene is associated with hypoplasia of commissural axon (CA), congenital fibrosis of the extraocular muscles type 3 (CFEOM3) and dysgyria.
