Maltose, dextrin, and glycerol provide carbon sources. Peptones supply nitrogen-containing nutrients. The pH is adjusted to an acidic 4.9 to prevent the growth of bacteria and select for yeasts and molds.
Contains 1.275% maltose, 0.275% dextrin, 0.235% glycerol, 0.078% peptone, and 1.5% agar, pH 4.9.
