Suppression of regional lymph node metastases is one of the most significant factors affecting favorable prognosis of squamous cell carcinoma . Experimental models of lymphogenous metastasis analogous to progression of human oral carcinoma are needed to provide an opportunity to investigate metastatic mechanisms.
