These clear non-vacuum desiccators are manufactured from soda lime glass and include a lid with a molded-in knob. Clear glass provides excellent visibility. The rims of the desiccator and lid are ground glass and require greasing before use to create an air-tight seal. Also includes a perforated porcelain desiccator plate that fits onto a ridge above the lower chamber. A standard drying agent such as silica or anhydrous calcium chloride can be positioned in the lower chamber. Not recommended to autoclave.
