Assurance(R) GDS is an advanced genetic detection system for food pathogens. The Shiga Toxin Genes (Top 7) Tq is an automated nucleic acid amplification system for the detection of the stx1 and stx2 genes in the following Top 7 O serogroups of E. coli: O103, O111, O121, O145, O26, O45, and O157. Assurance(R) GDS utilizes a proprietary PickPen(R) IMS-based sample preparation procedure to quickly and effectively capture organisms belonging to the 7 specific Top STEC O serogroups prior to genetic analysis for the presence of the eae gene.stx1 and stx2 genes.
