Antigen: fusion protein from the N-terminus of the δ-subunit of rat GABAA receptor
Host: rabbit
Cross Reactivity: (+) mouse and rat GABAA Receptor
Application(s): IHC, IP, and WB
GABAA-Rs are important therapeutic targets for a range of sedative, anxiolytic, and hypnotic agents and are implicated in several diseases including epilepsy, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. It is a multimeric subunit complex with six α's, four b’s, and four g’s, plus alternative splicing variants of some of these subunits. Several studies demonstrate that the d-subunit of the receptor may affect subunit assembly and may also confer differential sensitivity to neurosteroids and to ethanol.
