Application: For the isolation and enumeration of vegetative forms as well as spores from Clostridium perfringens in food, clinical specimens and other material. C. perfringens colonies are fluorescent when illuminated with UV light (360 nm). Recommended by the "jSchweizerisches Lebensmittelbuch", chapter 56 E7.
