Filcons are disposable filters for separating cells and nuclei. The porous membrane enables large quantities of cell suspensions to be filtered. The microporous polyethylene funnel is designed to pass the biological material while trapping waste particles. There are two types of Filcons: a syringe-fitting form that can be used with either suction or compression, which works well for quantities over 5 mL, and a cup type that works well for lesser quantities.
