Fenretinide

A synthetic retinoid that induces ceramide in tumor cell lines, leading to caspase-dependent apoptosis (IC50 = 2.4 µM); promotes ROS generation, MCL-1 degradation, and PKCδ cleavage; selectively activates RARγ at 5-20 µM and inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
