A naturally-derived flavone with anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, and anti-tumor effects; induces apoptosis in human cancer cells; down-regulates certain genes responsible for cellular oxidative stress, and acts as a selective PPARα agonist (IC50 = 1.18 µM) and 5-LO inhibitor (IC50 = 14 µM).
