Application
Diatomaceous earth may be used as an adsorbent for column chromatography.
It may be used in the synthesis of the following:
- Chitosan modified DE for the abstraction of humic acid from raw water
- High purity solar grade silicon (SOG-Si)
- Porous silica ceramics
- Diatomite-based composite with enhanced sorption characteristics
