Dexrazoxane

An intracellular iron chelator and an inhibitor of topoisomerase IIα that is highly protective in reducing anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity and extravasation injury; scavenges hydroxyl (IC50 = 2.1 mM), superoxide (IC50 = 0.4 mM), lipid (IC50 = 4.4 mM), DPPH (IC50 = 3.5 μM), and ABTS+ (IC50 = 3.8 mM) free radicals.
