Cooke Rose Bengal Agar Base is recommended for selective isolation and cultivation of fungi. Chlortetracycline with rose bengal increases the selectivity of the media. Rose bengal and Chlortetracycline selectively inhibit bacterial growth and restrict the size and height of colonies of more rapidly growing moulds.
