Stains reticulum fibers with no background staining in 30 minutes. This reticulin kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to the Gomori, Gordon and Sweets, Snook’s, Laidlaw’s, Wilder’s, Modified Gridley’s, and Foot’s technique staining for Reticular Fibers, often performed during the differential diagnosis of various types of tumors or liver diease. In addition to being much shorter than many of these procedures, the MasterTech Chandler’s Precision® Reticulum Stain Kit does not use radioactive Uranyl Nitrate, or cumbersome Lithium Silver solutions. With easy to use, pre-measured Silver Solution vials and a specially formulated Nuclear Fast Red that reduces flocculation, this kit will produce vibrant nuclei and contrasting reticulum fibers with a background free of staining artifacts and debris. An Ammoniacal Silver Developer Solution serves as the primary stain, producing brown to black reticulum fibers against a pink to red background counterstained by Nuclear Fast Red. There is no filtration required when using MasterTech Nuclear Fast Red. 100ml Stain Kit yields between 30 and 112 slides. Pint Stain Kit yields between 120-480 slides.
