Crosstex offers Spore Wires for use in monitoring sterilization processes. Spore Wires consist of an inoculated braided steel wire, 40 mm x 1.5 mm, packaged in bulk. Ideal for use in tubing, lumens and other devices/instruments where larger Bis and carriers cannot be utilized. Crosstex’s manufacturing process is designed to ensure that the entire length of the wire contains a consistent number of spores. Spore Wires have a rigid structure which allows for easy insertion and removal from devise. The steel construction in does not absorb moisture which is ideal when there is condensation within the lumen.
Spore Wires are packaged in shelf packs of 100 and labeled with a 12 month shelf-life. Store Spore Wires under room temperature conditions (15 - 30º C). Each pack is accompanied by a certificate of analysis. Spore Wires are certified for population, purity, and resistance (D-value, Z-value, survival and kill where applicable). Crosstex’s Spore Wires are compliant with ANSI/AAMI/ISO/ EN 11138 series of standards and USP where applicable.
