Ubiquitin specific peptidase 21 (USP21) is a protease consisting of 381 amino acid residues and a molecular mass of 43kDa. It is part of the ubiquitin-specific protease family.
Synonyms: Anti-USP16; Anti-USP23; Anti-ubiquitin specific peptidase 21
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-USP21 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting and immunohistochemistry.
Biochem Physiol Actions: Ubiquitin specific peptidase 21 (USP21) removes ubiquitin from ubiquitinated proteins and neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally down-regulated 8 (NEDD8) from NEDD8-conjugated proteins. It may have a role in cell growth regulation and is involved in immune responses. USP21 deubiquitinates interleukin-33 and stabilizes it. The protein acts as a negative regulator of nuclear factor-kappa B pathway by deubiquitinating receptor-interacting protein 1 (RIP1).
