General description: Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) is a deubiquitinase which is part of the ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS). The protein is expressed in the nervous system and gonads. The gene encoding UCHL1 is localized on human chromosome 4p13.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) has a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition. It also has roles in invasion and in the cell cycle. UCHL1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of carboxy-terminal ubiquitin esters and amides. The protein has been associated with various cancers.
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence EVRFSAVALCK, from the C-terminal region of the protein sequence according toNP_004172.2
Physical form: Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in 20mM Tris (pH 7.3) and 150mM NaCl with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
