Transient receptor potential vanilloid type 2 (TRPV2) protein belongs to the TRPV family. This protein is a non-selective cation channel located in the sensory neurons, macrophages and vascular smooth muscles. The TRPV2 gene is located on the human chromosome at 17p11.2.
Synonyms: Anti-Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel, Subfamily V, Member 2; Anti-VRL; Anti-VRL-1; Anti-VRL1
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-TRPV2 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry.
Biochem Physiol Actions: Transient receptor potential vanilloid type 2 (TRPV2) protein plays a role in early macrophage phagocytosis. This protein acts as a biomarker in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). TRPV2 protein is also involved in bladder, prostate cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma.
