Stromal antigen 1 (STAG1) is a nuclear protein and it is majorly expressed in hematopoietic organs and somatic cells. The gene is located on human chromosome 3q22.3. The protein belongs to the stromal antigen (STAG) subunit of core cohesin complex, that is regulated by PDS5B (PDS5 cohesin associated factor B).
Synonyms: Anti-NYD-SP12; Anti-SA-1; Anti-stromal antigen 1
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-STAG1 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting and immunohistochemistry.
Biochem Physiol Actions: Stromal antigen 1 (STAG1) is an important mediator for p53-dependent apoptosis. It is critical for telomeric sister chromatid cohesion in mammalian cells. The protein contributes to a number of pivotal cellular processes, such as transcription, maintenance of chromatin domain architecture and insulator function.
