Biochem Physiol Actions: Msx2-interacting protein is a protein encoded by the SPEN gene in humans. In Drosophila, it was first discovered and is found to be present in eukaryotic species ranging from plants to humans. It consists of RNA recognition motifs (RRMs) in the N-terminal region and may be involved in myotonic dystrophy (DM1).
