General description: Solute carrier family 2 member 4 (SLC2A4) is also known as glucose transporter-4 (GLUT4). It is highly expressed in adipose tissue and skeletal muscles. The gene encoding SLC2A4 is localized on human chromosome 17p13.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Solute carrier family 2 member 4 (SLC2A4) transports glucose into cells in response to insulin. Levels of this protein have been shown to be reduced in type 2 diabetes.
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence TELEYLGPDEND, from the C-terminal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001033.1
Physical form: Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in 20mM Tris (pH 7.3) and 150mM NaCl with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
RIDADR: NONH for all modes of transport
