RNF41 (Ring finger protein 41) is an E3 ubiquitin ligase consisting of RING finger domain including ErbB3 and Parkin.
Synonyms: Anti-NRDP1; Anti-SBBI03
Storage: -20C
Application: All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org)and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry. The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. These images and the collection of this vast data set can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Biochem Physiol Actions: RNF41 (Ring finger protein 41) is involved in controlling several protein activity during cell growth, apoptosis and oxidative stress. In addition, it plays a potential role in the tumor progression and pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. It acts as a pro-apoptotic protein in human glioma to slow down the cell apoptosis. It aggravates the rate of tumor progression by low apoptotic rate. It has been suggested that RNF41 may play an important regulatory role in the development of human glioma. It also has an impact on the RNF41-mediated ErbB3 degradation, which retards the cellular growth of colorectal cancer (CRC). Studies also have reported that reduced RNF41 expression in CRC may promote tumor progression, which indicates it being a novel target for CRC therapy.
