Biochem Physiol Actions: RELL1 (RELT-like 1) gene encodes a homolog of the tumor necrosis factor receptor RELT that binds to the TNF receptor family member RELT. It has been found to induce cell death similar to activation of an apoptotic pathway upon overexpression. It co-localizes at the plasma membrane along with RELL2.
