RBM47 (RNA binding motif protein 47) is an mRNA-interacting protein. It is composed of three classical RNA recognition motifs (RRM domains). It is a homolog of the RNA-editing proteins Apobec1 complementation factor (A1CF) and hnRNP-Q.
Synonyms: Anti-RNA-binding motif protein 47; Anti-RNA-binding protein 47
Storage: -20C
Application: Anti-RBM47 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org). Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. The antibodies are also tested using immunofluorescence and western blotting. To view these protocols and other useful information about Prestige Antibodies and the HPA, visit sigma.com/prestige.
Biochem Physiol Actions: RBM47 (RNA binding motif protein 47) suppresses the breakdown rate of mRNA. This causes accumulation of protein inside cells, leading to reduced tumor growth. It is under-expressed in metastatic tumor, and has been identified as a breast cancer tumor suppressor.
