RNA binding motif protein 45 (RBM45) is made up of 476 amino acids and is expressed in the brain. It is predominantly seen in the nucleus and possesses three RNA recognition motifs (RRMs).

Biochem Physiol Actions: RNA binding motif protein 45 (RBM45) associates with kelch like ECH-associated protein 1 (KEAP1) and stabilizes it. This binding blocks the antioxidant response and thus accelerates apoptosis. RBM45 is detected in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
