Anti-phospho NFkB p52, (Ser222) Antibody from rabbit, purified by affinity chromatography

Not yet rated

The p52 NF-kB subunit is induced through activation of the alternative (noncanonical) NF-kB pathway in response to a range of stimuli such as lymphotoxin-b, BAFF and CD40, as well as DNA damage. The p52 formation results from proteolytic processing of its precursor protein p100 as a consequence of IKKalpha-mediated phosphorylation. The p52 is most commonly found as a heterodimer with RelB, although other dimer combinations have been identified by ChIP analysis. Ser222 of NF-kappa B p52 is phosphorylated by the kinase GSK3beta. Phosphorylation at S222 appears to regulate not only p52 partner dimerization but also the p52 dependent activation or repression of Skp2 gene expression.

Synonyms: Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p100 subunit, DNA-binding factor KBF2, H2TF1, Lymphocyte translocation chromosome 10 protein, Nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells 2, Oncogene Lyt-10, Lyt10, Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p52 subunit

Application: Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected phospho NFkB p52, (Ser222) in CD40L and NTL cell lysate (Neil D. Perkins, Newcastle University).
